Hi, I'm Ted and I operate Adventure Safari Ltd - home of the Wellington Movie Tours.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN.
For a number of years, I have provided tours around the region of Wellington, New Zealand.

Initially, I started showing visitors the sights and attractions of Wellington in a days outing.  However, as passenger demand to see Lord of the Rings filming locations increased, I started making location stops for the passengers.

MOVIE CLIPS & PROPS.
Duplicating other local 'Rings tour operators, I would show still images from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy to explain the scenes filmed on location.  However many passengers were struggling to remember specific scenes when simply shown a still image.  It was then that I introduced and became the only operator to show on-tour movie clips.

Enthusiastic from viewing the scene filmed where they were standing, many passengers were grabbing sticks or rocks to use as a prop for their 'Rings pictures.  I have now introduced numerous props to add some realism for pictures - again the only operator to do so.

Adventure Safari has now evolved to provide the biggest movie tour experience in New Zealands movie capital.

We now take passengers to more 'Rings filming locations than any other operator and include plenty of behind-the-scenes stories, special fx explanations and information on past, present and future filming projects.
